Therapy Specialties in Pasadena
Most people don't come to therapy because of one neatly defined issue. Anxiety and depression can affect relationships. ADHD can impact confidence. Major life changes can leave you questioning who you are.
The specialties below reflect the work I do most often, but they're not boxes you have to fit into. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not like yourself, there's a good chance we can make sense of it together.
LGBTQIA+ Identity
Growing up queer often means learning to pay close attention to the world around you. You learn what feels safe, what doesn't, and sometimes which parts of yourself need to stay hidden. Those adaptations often helped you get through difficult situations, but they can also make it harder to know who you are once you no longer need them.
Our work isn't about becoming someone different. It's about understanding what helped you survive, deciding what still serves you, and making room for more of your authentic self.
Couples Therapy
Every relationship has conflict. It’s a normal part of being connected to another person. The hard part is figuring out how to navigate those moments without turning against each other. Sometimes that means slowing down long enough to understand what's happening beneath the conflict, rather than getting caught up in it.
Whether you're feeling disconnected from a partner, exploring a different relationship structure, navigating differences in desire, or simply wanting to feel more fulfilled, we'll work to understand what's keeping you stuck. Most relationship challenges aren't about one person being "the problem." They're about patterns that develop between two people, and those patterns can change.
Men’s Issues
Being a man often comes with expectations about success, relationships, emotions, and who you're supposed to be. Sometimes those expectations fit, and sometimes they don't, leaving you to wrestle with confusion, pressure, or a sense of mismatch.
Therapy is a chance to step back, reflect on where those messages came from, and begin to untangle which parts serve you and which do not. It’s an opportunity to explore your own values, clarify what matters to you, and decide what kind of life and identity you want to build, not simply the roles or expectations you've inherited.
